I took Marcy and Matt back to Detroit where we took their wedding pics in May with the attempt of getting some romantic shots of the happy couple along with trashing Marcy's dress. I swear that material is coated in teflon; it was actually less dirty AFTER our session! As you can see, we did manage to get into the water both at Belle Isle and Hart Plaza but our time on the beach went quickly once Matt saw plastic forks float past him (and I don't blame him in the least). Chris and Trish of Personal Touch Productions joined us as well and I'm sure they have some great footage. I'll post a link to that once they have that on their web site. Thank you for a fun time Burkitts!!

Jenn and Adam wanted to incorporate Adam's car into their session - it's special to Adam and now to Jenn as well. This isn't just any car - he and his dad have worked on it and cared for it together since Adam was in high school and to me it seems more a member of the family. : ) We did a few cool things with the car then strolled down to Riverwalk which was more crowded than I could have ever imagined for a Friday afternoon. It was a challenge getting them into the water without including the dozens of children running around. At one point it looked as if they were running a massive day camp! In the end we walked away with some awesome shots and I look forward to working with them again in January when we head back to Detroit for another fantastic time!

These girls are incredibly cute and loaded with energy! I have been looking forward to seeing them since our last session in November and was so excited to work with them again (and their mom too)! We had a blast together at a local park where they were able to run free just being inquisitive little girls. For me, a mother of a boy, this is a real treat as I love cute and frilly girl clothes but obviously never got the chance to shop for them. Well, let's face it...I could have but that would have landed myself or my son in therapy. Snicker...

Meghan and Chris were AWESOME on their wedding day and I cannot thank them enough. Megs, who was so incredibly ill with the flu earlier that morning was a sincere trooper. She was up for anything and didn't let life's hiccups get her down. Although it did rain that day it cleared up just long enough for their gorgeous outdoor ceremony and again when we stopped off at a local farm for pictures. The gods were certainly looking out for us! And talk about emotional - she and her family are an incredibly tight-knit bunch that shed more tears than I can count (and yes, we shared in a few tearful moments ourselves - the relationship between father and daughter is so incredibly touching that I actually look forward to these moments at every wedding more than any other - shameful, I know).
