January is a special month for Katie and Jared which is why they chose a winter wedding and the powers-that-be made certain it was a beautiful day. During our outdoor session we had snowflakes aplenty which, when combined with the architectural beauty of U of M's Law Quad, created a backdrop with a cinematic feel like the old backlots at Paramount or MGM. Katie truly was a stunning and glamorous bride and our cameras loved her. Of course, Jared looked spectacularly handsome as well (you're welcome Jared) and the two of them together...well, you only need look at their pictures to see how perfect they are as a couple. Congratulations!!

The beautiful wax seal that adorned the cover of their wedding programs; just one of the many elegant and sophisticated touches Karen created for her dream wedding.

    Locked in a gaze...

Yep, that's right! We went outside - to enjoy each and every one of those precious 13 degrees!

Meadow Brook's Grand Staircase (yes, I do have a thing for staircases).

Mary Beth is my first birdcage veil bride and since I have this insane obsession with all things vintage I've been looking forward to her wedding with great anticipation.

Mary Beth and her adorable flower girls caught in a touching, almost surreal, moment.

    Alas, the happy couple...

Mary Beth has an amazing emotional bond with both of her parents, which is evident from this photo of her dance with her father. Even my throat tightens when I look at it as you sense his struggle to hold back the tears.

Bryan is as genuine as they come - just a down to earth, nice guy. I just love this shot of him and his mother as they begin their dance together.

Bill and Nicole (especially Nicole) were amazingly brave to stand in the cold (and the dark) for pictures. I worked as quickly as I could but I have to give this girl her props; she never complained...NOT ONCE!

These are the moments we live for! Mental note: put tissue in pocket not in camera bag (duh).

Can you pass up a shot in front of a Michigan icon such as Jiffy? I think not!

If you plan to stop traffic in downtown Ann Arbor, you'd better have a large bridal party!

The vintage cake topper which adorned the top layer of Elesa's grandparent's wedding cake was now lovingly placed on their own. If that doesn't move you, I don't know what will.
